So this is where I went to this party:
It's Stockholm City Hall, a beautiful building built in 1923. My dad has been working for the same company, Ericsson, for 30 years, and yesterday he received his gold watch and a medal, and he brought me along as his date. It was a lot of fun, because I don't normally get to go to these fancy things. Everyone looked very nice and sparkly, and even though I definitely was one of the youngest there, it was nice and I had a good time.
Since the pictures I tried to take with my camera turned out all crappy, here's a picture of the Blue Hall, where we ate. It's the same hall as the one they use for the Noble Prize Dinner next week, this picture is from an earlier NP dinner:
It's really beautiful!
And I wore Shimmer, and I love it! It's perfect for one of these occasions. A shawl is nice too, but with Shimmer, you don't have to worry about it falling off, or using a pin or something. I'm very very happy with it, and I just have to find some more fancy parties to go to now, so I can use it.
It's hard to photograph though. I'll see if I can manage to take a better picture, but like I said, it's hard to photograph black.
And something for you spinners out there: have you seen the new on-line magazine for us? It's called Spindlicity, and focuses mainly on spindle spinning. So far, it looks great.

Fancy schmancy! You look appropriately sparkly. I'm jealous.

Shimmer looks wonderful! The only thing I got to do in Stockholm is get stuck in the airport on my way from Oslo to Chicago!
